javajazz2012

Pergi ke festival java jazz 2012, ramai tapi tidak segila tahun lalu yang sampai parkir ke jalan luar.
Nonton di hall besar awalnya nonton a blues band yang tidak pernah terdengar.
Lalu nonton Trintje Oosterheis, vokalis jazz yang bagus dari Belanda, pernah rekaman dengan Burt Bacharach - a gem in this festival.
Pindah ke ruang sebelah melihat Quincy Jones' trio. Sangat jazz, sangat melegakan dahaga.
Nonton Dave Koz yang sangat menghibur dengan penonton yang padat.
Masih di tempat yang sama menonton Mayer Hawthorne, sangat pop dan senang.

sabang pagi-pagi

Ke jalan Sabang pagi pagi.
Mampir ke kopitiam, ternyata pindah tapi tidak jauh dari yang lama.
Pesan kroket belanda, french toast dan kopi.
Ada relief (?) entah dari tahun berapa tapi sepertinya bukan baru, seperti dari jaman presiden pertama.

Bandung trip, end of Feb 2012

A two days trip to Bandung, leave Jakarta on Saturday morning (pic 1)... arrive in Bandung and went straight to Indischetafel, an Indo-Holland restaurant on far end of a one way Jalan Sumatera. About the resto: will visit again.

On the way to Lembang, stopped by Tamansari Zoo and saw a Tiger, three Bears, Hornbills and other birds (pic 3). Rain and storm came and took shelter there.

At the rainy night, dinner at the Peak (pic 4), came early and got good seats. Had burger steak, good choice to warmth the cold night with sekoteng drink.

Sunday came and we had lunch at Burgundy (last pic), a nice place with good pizza. Then storm came, tough drive back with pouring rain and watery Lembang street around 15cm.

Later than day, drove back to the capital; a cautious drive due to rain.

i like this adidas soccer shoes, the plain simplistic of the design yet elegant. reminds me of japanese made soccer shoes. i wish they are available for the less pricey type so i can wear them.
